Not all office spaces are created equal. Some are cubicles and some are of the office space Soho style while others are in a large home or building where the space is not on the small side. Cubicles are not the ideal work environment as they seem constricted, but they do get the job done. Whatever the size all must be decorated, but there are decorating don’ts that every cube employee must follow in order to get along with their cube mates.
First and foremost a cubicle is your desk at work, but it is not only yours. A cubicle is generally surrounded by other cubicles and therefore you must be aware. Having a little decoration is the key to a happy work life. In addition, your decorations should reflect your family, but not be something that defines you. Your collection of troll dolls can stay at home. In addition, keep your cube looking neat, but not too neat. A person that looks busy is never bothered.
Along with being aware of your surroundings make sure that you keep the air clean. Keep the smell of your cubicle to a minimum including your cologne or perfume and the aroma of your lunch. Another tip for cube decoration includes keeping the area clutter free as this space while it should be comfortable so that you can work remember it belongs to your place of business.
